During the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to intern with Lucky Brand in their eCommerce Editorial Department. Those three months I spent out in Los Angeles taught me more about the fashion industry than any of my college classes ever could. Below I’ve summarized some of my favorite tasks throughout the summer from blogging to social media to styling.
Lollapalooza Experiential Marketing
To promote Lucky Brand’s City Jam event in Chicago, I executed an experiential and social marketing project that spread event awareness around the city and brand awareness on social media. After scattering large event posters around Chicago, I managed 50 influencer partnerships in the area who posted pictures at each poster location. I also managed a national Instagram sweepstakes as part of the event.
In total, these initiatives brought Lucky Brand 10.15 K new Instagram followers.
Lucky Lives On Influencer Seeding
As part of Lucky Brand’s fall Lucky Lives On campaign, I helped grow campaign reach through influencer seeding. After scouting top social influencers aligned with Lucky Brand’s image, I styled these product looks and managed creative assets and contracts for all seeding partners. I also assisted styling Lucky Brand’s own campaign shoot.
Lucky Insider Blogging
After my summer internship ended with Lucky Brand, I became a freelance writer to help launch the brand’s blog, Lucky Insider.
Drama & Romance With Caitlin Miyako Taylor – I profiled blogger and influencer Caitlin Miyako Taylor featuring Lucky Brand’s sleeve detailing trend.
Base Coat Nails The Fall Mani – I covered fall nail polish trends with LA’s Base Coat Nail Salon and showed how to pair them with Lucky Brand’s seasonal styles.
